Midgett & Fite formed in 2003 as a real estate investment partnership and has thrived. In 2011, the firm opened their current offices at 312 South Maple Street, Suite B, Lebanon, TN 37087 offering Full Service Brokerage, Property Management and Real Estate Investment Services to their clients (these services having been formerly offered through another firm). Founded by Dewey J. Fite and Dan E. Midgett, II, Midgett & Fite is always ready to provide you with the best service and the best advice for your real estate needs.

Our goal is to provide excellent service and to treat every customer with respect.

Dan E. Midgett, II is currently the Principal Broker and Owner of Midgett & Fite. Since 2004, Dan has been an award-winning real estate agent in Wilson County, having achieved the Gold Award of Excellence multiple times culminating in the Gold Life Award. Dan received his CCIM designation in 2008, and is a Certified Negotiation Expert, a Graduate of the Realtor Institute, and is a great resource to have on your side of any Real Estate transaction.

Dan's list of clients are numerous, but includes Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, AAA Self-Storage, and Farm Bureau Insurance Company, among others. Dan co-brokered finding a site for Publix in Lebanon and continues to help many local businesses, investors and individuals with their real estate needs.

Prior to becoming a realtor, Dan practiced engineering for over 15 years with Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., The M.W. Kellogg Company (now Halliburton), and Exxon Corporation, where he designed and constructed cryogenic and processing plants to serve clients such as Woodside Petroleum, Shell Oil Company, Quantum Chemical, Exxon Chemical, ENAMI Copper, JGC Engineers, SIPM, and a host of other firms worldwide.

Jeneva Midgett, Dan's wife, joined Midgett and Fite's team in 2012.  She obtained her real estate license in 2016 and is branching out to help the team. Detail oriented, Jeneva is invaluable handling much of the property management and day to day bookkeeping for the company.

Jeneva has a background in teaching both in public and private schools. She home-schooled her children and has helped other homeschool families by teaching co-operative science and math classes.  Jeneva has been a great asset to the team and will continue to grow in her expanding role.

Jeanice Birch joined the Midgett & Fite team in 2020 as an Office Assistant.
Her background in journalism and customer service helps her serve our office, owners, tenants, and brokerage clients with knowledge and kindness.

Trecia Dillingham also joined the Midgett & Fite team in 2020 as an Office Assistant. Trecia has been improving the office efficiency of the Midgett & Fite office and her fluency in Spanish and background in education adds an extra layer of quality service for our clients.

As for the “Fite” of Midgett & Fite, Jeneva’s father Dewey Fite was a legend in the local real estate industry, having served his clients for over 60 years. In 1955, Dewey and his brother Albert Fite formed the Fite Realty Company in Lebanon, TN. Dewey became principal broker and grew the firm to become a well-known icon in Wilson County. In 1983, Dewey sold his firm to Coldwell Banker, continuing as principal broker. Coldwell Banker eventually merged into Cumberland Real Estate where Dewey remained as a broker. Never one to pass on a good opportunity and noting a market need, our successful investment partnership, Midgett & Fite, began offering brokerage services in 2011, and Dewey was our first Principal Broker. After a long and fruitful career, Dewey retired his license in 2014 at the age of 96.

Prior to his well-established career in real estate, Dewey was a chemist and systems analyst with DuPont Chemical. After WWII, Dewey returned to Middle Tennessee where he co-owned and operated the West Side Hotel Coffee Shop and eventually Dewey's Restaurant and Steak House.

Dewey served as President of the Realtor's Association in 1970, and was a Lifetime Member of the $1,000,000 Sales Club. In 1995, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Board of Realtors. In 2007, he received the 20-year Achievement of Excellence, and he received other awards and honors for his service to his clients and to the real estate industry.  Dewey passed away in 2017, and we continue to miss his wit, his sage wisdom, and we value the Real Estate training and leadership he proffered.
